Scheme Ownership
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a self-financing, independent organisation.
The Scheme is owned by the Construction Umbrella Bodies (Holdings) Ltd (made up of the Construction Products Association and the Construction Industry Council).

Construction Products Association
Acting as a single influential voice for the manufacturers and suppliers of construction products, its aim is to build a growing profitable and sustainable future for the construction products industry.
Construction Industry Council
A representative forum for the industry's professional bodies, research organisations and specialist trade associations.
The Scheme is independently run as Considerate Constructors Scheme Ltd.
CUB(H)Ltd is responsible for the strategy of the Scheme; the Board of Considerate Constructors Scheme Ltd is responsible for development and implementation.
The Board of Considerate Constructors Scheme Ltd is made up of representatives of the administration company, experienced Scheme Monitors and appointed experts.

Chairman
A former president of the Association of Building Engineers, Robert Biggs has been a Director of the Scheme since 2006. Robert has also been a Scheme Monitor since 2002 and is Director and Principal Consultant of Robert Biggs Associates Ltd. His former career has included senior positions with the Greater London Council and with the London Borough of Hackney, for whom he was Head of Engineering and later Director of Environmental Services.
Chief Executive
Edward Hardy is Chief Executive of the Scheme. Edward spent his early career in corporate sales, developing and training a sales team for a large UK gas supplier, before doing the same for a telecommunications company in Sydney, Australia. Edward has been responsible for the operational activities of the Scheme since 1998 and was appointed General Manager in 2003. Edward was promoted to Chief Executive in January 2009.
Director
John Ogle-Skan has been a Scheme Director since January 2008, having been a Monitor since 2005. John previously spent 14 years as a Construction Director within the Try Group – now Galliford Try.
Director
David Watson joined the Scheme as a Monitor in 2005 and has been a Director since January 2008. David brings particular expertise in training and site management assessment to the Board, through his work as a trainer, assessor and facilitator and his previous employment with the CITB.
Director
John Southworth has been non-executive Director of Finance since January 2008. John trained as a Chartered Accountant and went on to hold a series of commercial and financial positions at Board level with UK companies, before joining the Building Employers Confederation, (predecessor to the Construction Confederation), as Finance Director and Confederation Secretary in 1992. John’s responsibilities within the Construction Confederation have been diverse, encompassing finance, IT, human resources, membership services, property management, pensions and dealing with a wide variety of legal and constitutional matters.
Director
Nigel Marks joined the Board as Marketing Director in January 2009, having worked as a Monitor since 2007. Nigel currently runs his own consultancy business, and, prior to that, had a long and varied career in the construction industry, with particular emphasis on marketing and business development roles in McLaren Construction, Ballast plc and Taylor Woodrow Construction.
Director
After an initial career in a civil engineering practice and subsequently as Regional Director of Ballast Wiltshier plc, responsible for major design and build projects in the South East region, Chris Lane is now a Director of a successful project management consultancy. He became a Scheme Monitor in 2005 and joined the Board as a Director in January 2010.
Director
Having joined the Scheme as a Monitor in 2007, Paul Moore has now been appointed as a Director, from January 2010.
Paul started his career as a trainee for an international construction group and spent his early years working for a number of national contractors. He then joined a regional company where he spent 17 years as Construction Director. He was appointed Managing Director of a regional housing company and now has his own consultancy company which specialises in education.
