Becoming a Monitor
Interested in monitoring?
The Considerate Constructors Scheme was set up in 1997 to improve the image of construction. Our national network of senior industry professional Monitors visit and report on all registered sites and companies, providing guidance and encouragement in order to raise industry standards beyond statutory requirements.
Monitors are contracted on a part-time, self-employed basis. Monitors can be actively employed, semi-retired or retired.
There are two types of Monitoring: site monitoring, whereby registered sites are visited; and company monitoring, where companies are visited. Monitors refer to a Checklist to see how the registered site/company is performing against the Code of Considerate Practice.
The Scheme will try and cater to the required workload of a Monitor, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Due to the continued growth of the Scheme we are looking for additional Monitors to report on registered sites across the UK. Applicants should be current, or retired, senior professionals from within the industry. All applicants must also be computer literate.
