Chairman's Introduction
As 2010 nears its end and thoughts of the New Year start to enter our minds, we are fortunate to be able to reflect on a very successful year for the Scheme.
Indeed, given the economic climate and endless talk of cutbacks, it seems incredible to report yet another year of record registrations. More extraordinary still is the fact that March saw the highest number of registrations in any one month since the Scheme began – 895 to be precise. Naturally these figures are highly gratifying for everyone connected with the Scheme, but more importantly they evidence the real commitment to considerate practices, which makes the UK construction industry stand head and shoulders above other countries. Something, I believe, to be extremely proud of.
With Client Partnership and Company Registration enjoying similar levels of enthusiasm, 2010 has also been a year where the Scheme moved forward to enjoy valuable input from every industry quarter. I believe 2011 will see equally exciting progress and look forward to it enormously.
In the meantime may I, on behalf of the Scheme, wish all readers a peaceful and enjoyable festive season, and every good wish for the New Year.
