A1 Skip Hire Ltd and Waste Management is delighted to be the first skip hire company in the UK to register under the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s Company Registration initiative.

The company service local trade and domestic users, dealing with waste disposal and the management of this waste, through recycling. 80% of the companies they carry out works for are new-build construction sites.

As a large percentage of their skips go to and are taken from construction sites, and having seen the Considerate Constructors Scheme signage displayed, A1 Skip Hire Ltd and Waste Management contacted the Scheme to discuss whether registration would be appropriate for them, which it was.

Becoming a member of the Scheme commits A1 Skip Hire Ltd and Waste Management to adhere to a Code of Considerate Practice, like the construction sites they hire skips to. This confirms what is seen as considerate working practices and helps reassure them that they are providing a fitting service.

A recent visit from the Scheme’s Monitor to a site covered under A1 Skip Hire’s registration, provided encouraging feedback on the processes currently in place. A1 Skip Hire Ltd and Waste Management is proud to be a registered company and shall continue to work towards improving the image of the construction industry.
