New Monitors join the Scheme
A further 12 experienced industry professionals have been recruited by the Scheme to carry out site visits as Scheme Monitors, taking the total number of Monitors to 122.
The new Monitors attended one of two induction meetings during August and September, held at the Scheme’s offices in Ware, Hertfordshire. The meetings not only gave Monitors the opportunity to meet the Scheme’s administration staff and learn more about the Scheme and its requirements, but they also received useful guidance and advice from Director, David Watson, who has been monitoring sites for over five years.
Colin Birkett, BA BArch RIBA, became a Scheme Monitor on 19 August 2010 and will visit sites in Manchester.
Adrian Croot, FCInstCES and MCIHT, joined as a Scheme Monitor on 15 June 2010 and carries out site visits in Cambridgeshire.
Brian Farnworth joined as a Scheme Monitor on 17 June 2010 and covers Preston, Manchester and Chester.
David Gore became a Monitor on 6 August 2010 and monitors in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
Jim Grainger joined the Scheme on 19 July 2010 and monitors sites in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire.
Emma Hirst, Grad IOSH AIEMA MIIRSM, became a Scheme Monitor on 15 April 2010 and covers Preston, Blackpool and Blackburn.
Roger Johnson joined the Scheme on 17 June 2010 and monitors sites in Bristol, Bath and Gloucester.
Stan Marlow became a Scheme Monitor on 19 July 2010 and will visit sites in Huntingdon and the surrounding areas.
Darren McLoughlin, BSc (Hons) MRICS, joined as a Scheme Monitor on 15 April 2010 and carries out site visits in Essex and Thurrock.
David Pearson joined as a Scheme Monitor on 6 August 2010 and covers Leeds, Harrogate, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and York.
Margaret Tunstall became a Monitor on 19 August 2010 and monitors in Yorkshire.
Peter Waring, MCIOB, joined as a Scheme Monitor on 30 June 2010 and monitors sites in Yorkshire.
