New Scheme Documentation
The Considerate Constructors Scheme has refreshed the documentation it offers to interested parties and registered sites and companies.
The Scheme's 'An overview', 'Site Registration' and 'Company Registration' brochures have all received updated content and incorporate the changes made to the Site and Company Codes of Considerate Practice earlier this year. The brochures have been given a new look with different images and layouts which makes it easier to find information across the set of documents.
The 'Site Registration Examples of Good Practice' has also been refreshed and includes examples witnessed by Scheme Monitors in 2010 that warranted the highest scores in the respective sections. This document will continue to be updated on a regular basis as new examples are identified to ensure it reflects the exciting initiatives and activities which are witnessed on sites throughout the year.
A new addition to the range of brochures is the 'Site Manager's Guide'. The purpose of this guide is to inform site managers of the requirements for running a site which is registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, from the basic expectations of compliance with the Site Code of Considerate Practice, to the site monitoring process, scoring and how a site could win a National Site Award.
All brochures are available to download by clicking on the following links below or as hard copies from the administration office:
The Scheme is also changing the way newly registered sites receive this updated documentation. The Site Registration Pack is a simple but effective folder which contains the documentation sent to registered sites. Inside the front cover of the folder is a site manager check sheet designed to act as an aid for site managers to check they have received everything and to give them some helpful guidance on what to do next.
It explains the initial steps they must take once they have received the package, for example how to properly display the Scheme signage such as posters and banners.
Once the documentation is read, the Site Registration Pack is designed to be filed alongside other site reading material, neatly contained and easily accessible for the site manager to regularly refer to for the duration of the project.
These new packs are now being issued to all newly registered sites and the Scheme's website has also been updated with all of the new documentation.
