National Company Awards 2011
The Considerate Constructors Scheme recently celebrated its first National Company Awards where registered companies were recognised for their contribution towards improving the image of construction.
The ceremony took place on the 23 November 2011 at the prestigious Berkeley hotel in London, where 40 of the highest performing registered companies received a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. One company, Rydon Maintenance - North London Region, was honoured with the title of Most Considerate Company 2011.
These awards were given to companies who have demonstrated the highest levels of consideration to the neighbourhood and general public, the workforce and the environment.
Scheme Chairman, Robert Biggs, introduced the awards which were then presented by Julia Evans, Chief Executive of the National Federation of Builders (NFB).
Robert Biggs, Chairman of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, said:
"It is a pleasure to be involved in the National Company Awards, to recognise and reward the exceptional measures that registered companies have put into practice.
It was just over two years ago that the Scheme launched the Company Registration initiative, designed to benefit construction companies of all types and size. The last two years have seen Company Registration grow tremendously, with hundreds of companies registering with the Scheme. The National Company Awards celebrate the most considerate companies and I congratulate everyone who received an award."
Julia Evans, Chief Executive of the NFB, added:
"The NFB is a great supporter of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and is delighted to be involved in the Company Registration initiative. Driving up standards is a vital activity for the industry and for companies; especially in such challenging times."
The Scheme would like to congratulate every company who received an award at this event which recognises the hard work and dedication they have put in place to be a more considerate constructor.
The Scheme will soon be publishing an award winners' brochure which will include all of this year's winners as well as photographs from the day. A copy of the brochure will be sent to every company who received an award and will also be available to download from the Scheme's website very soon.
