Seminars and Workshops

To help registered sites understand the Scheme's expectations and how to adhere to the Code of Considerate Practice, sites are able to attend the popular Seminars and Workshops to support their understanding of considerate construction.

These events are becoming more and more popular with a number of stakeholders involved in construction projects (such as site managers, public liaison officers, clients, directors etc.) as they come away with a far better understanding of how their role contributes towards the site's overall performance.

Seminars and Workshops are presented by the Scheme's specially trained Monitors and take place all over the UK to allow everyone the opportunity to attend. Seminars and Workshops can be attended individually or there is the option of booking onto a combined event, whereby the Seminar and Workshop take place on the same day with a light lunch provided.

Seminars are designed for those who are unfamiliar with Site Registration and includes a general introduction and helps those who attend to understand the basic requirements. The Monitor will ensure that everyone who attends a Seminar leaves with a full understanding of what is required from Site Registration.

Workshops follow on from Seminars, explaining how to perform beyond the basic requirements and gives examples of what sites have done to win National Site Awards. Workshops aim to encourage a higher level of thinking and generate lively discussions around good practice initiatives that both the Monitor and attendees have witnessed.

Seminars and Workshops allow for plenty of opportunity to ask a Scheme Monitor any question you may have regarding considerate construction. Attending a Seminar also includes a 2 hour CPD certificate, and a Workshop includes a 3 hour CPD certificate.
