Welcome to the first of this year's edition of Industry Image, and I hope that in this first quarter of 2014 you have been able to see signs of growth within the industry in your particular sector.
It has been a busy few months for the Scheme already, with plenty going on. Our headline news this issue is the launch of our new Scheme banners which have been designed to align with our Code of Considerate Practice. Sites up and down the UK will begin to receive these new banners when they register which explain to the public what it means to be a considerate constructor and the commitment they have made by registering with the Scheme.
We are currently in the middle of the National Site Awards where the most considerate registered sites of last year are being recognised for their contribution towards improving the image of construction. The awards continue to be well-received by the industry and are a great occasion to celebrate the industry's successes.
The Scheme is also pleased to announce a new type of registration aimed at suppliers. Supplier Registration is designed to offer suppliers of goods and materials the opportunity to register with the Scheme and promote their considerate credentials. These companies perform a vital role within the industry and can often have a huge impact on its image, so it is great that they too can now be recognised and strive for improvement.
I hope you enjoy reading this issue of Industry Image, and on behalf of the Scheme, thank you for your continued support.
