Associate Members' Meeting

The Considerate Constructors Scheme has held the first of this year's Associate Members' Meeting at Coombe Abbey, Coventry on the 4th June 2013. The meeting allows Associate Members to meet and discuss Scheme issues and hear about the latest initiatives.

David Watson, Scheme Chairman, opened the meeting and welcomed all those attending. This was followed by an update on the Scheme by Edward Hardy, Chief Executive, as well a report on 2012's financial results and the latest news on the new Code and Checklist.

After lunch, the Associate Members were split into three groups, with each one taking turns to discuss the Associate Members' Working Group (set up to discuss the future development of Associate Membership), responses to feedback (from a questionnaire sent out to all Associate Members earlier this year) and the Associate Operations Meeting (a new event planned for later this year, now known as the 'Improving The Image Of Construction' event).

Commenting on the meeting, Edward Hardy said: "I would like to thank the Associate Members for attending the meeting, and for their comments and suggestions throughout the day. We were able to gain valuable feedback on a number of initiatives and look forward to developing these with the Associate Members over the coming months."
