Client Partners’ Meeting

The Client Partners' Meeting of 2013 took place on the 16th July at The Dorchester in London. The meeting consisted of two parts, with the morning session welcoming the new Client Partners and the afternoon session being the main meeting with all partners.

Scheme Chairman David Watson introduced the morning meeting and welcomed new Client Partners Heathrow Airport Ltd, Abingdon & Witney College and Nottingham City Homes. Scheme Chief Executive Edward Hardy then presented an overview of the Scheme, explaining its aim and the two types of registration. David Watson then went on to explain the expectations of Client Partnership and what they can expect from the Scheme. The morning session closed with the Scheme taking questions from the new Client Partners.

After lunch, which provided an opportunity for the newest members to meet existing partners, the main meeting began. David Watson welcomed everyone and formally introducing the new Client Partners which attended the earlier meeting. Edward Hardy then updated everyone with the Scheme's current performance including registration numbers, various initiatives the Scheme is involved with and the annual National Awards.

Client Partners were then split into three groups, each one including a Scheme director, which took turns to discuss three areas: subcontractor registration, client best practice guide and how the Scheme can help clients to help contractors. At the end of the session, the Scheme directors gave a summary of their group's discussions to the other partners.

The end of the meeting provided an opportunity for Client Partners to discuss any other Scheme matter and closed with David Watson thanking every partner for their participation.
