This project saw the design and build of a separate nursery and eight classroom blocks within the school grounds, each of single storey timber frame construction.

Consideration for the project's neighbours, including a retirement home and a mature residential area, set high standards of community relations throughout. Help was given with a school's summer fete and quiz night, while a kids' fund-raising climb on a nearby building and a 'building site' play area for nursery children were provided.

A holiday in Fiji for one staff member resulted in a twinning partnership between Holywell and a local Fiji school, while full size photo cut-outs of site staff carrying safety notices were displayed as friendly reminders to the local community.

Safe waste disposal was paramount, with a wash system combining rainwater and chemicals used to clean paint brushes, and the inert waste bi-product dried to produce animal moulds for children to paint.

Taken together, these elements presented a site that was a superb example of considerate construction in action.
