This major road widening project in Essex included adaptations to surfaces, embankments and land drainage with balancing ponds and bridge constructions.

Across every area of considerate construction, this site excelled. Operatives were widely encouraged to become involved in wildlife conservation and archaeological initiatives outside of the project's requirements, and the contractor assisted those interested with giving talks to local associations and groups. Despite great distances involved between the many welfare and other units, these were maintained to an exemplary level, and occupational health advice was provided on a one-to-one basis for those wanting to stop smoking.

The discovery that a stretch of noise-abatement fencing had never been installed on the original M25 build led the company to fund and install it as a goodwill gesture to residents. In support of local police, work was suspended for an entire evening shift to provide safe passage for an abnormal load.

With the donation of unused pipe work to aid workers abroad, the creation of a special self-esteem-building course for disadvantaged children, and many other community support initiatives in the area, this site was an exemplar project for all that is best in considerate construction.
