SCHEME NEWS

The Scheme hosted it’s first

annual Drinks Reception

The Scheme is developing an

online resource containing a wealth

of best practice tips, expertise,

guidance and case studies that

will provide the latest information

sourced from construction sites,

companies and suppliers across the

UK.

Created in accordance with the

Scheme’s Code of Considerate

Practice, this unique database,

available to anyone and free of

charge, will detail best practice

initiatives either already in place

or currently being developed

throughout the UK construction

industry.

All data on the Hub will be easily

searchable using keywords or by

filtering through the Code and

Checklist.

The Hub will assist site managers,

contractors and clients looking to

meet and exceed the requirements

of the Code, perform to a higher

standard and ultimately improve

the overall image of the industry.

The Hub will be launching in

January. However, you can follow

the Hub now on Twitter via

@ccsbestpractice

and email

enquiries@ccsbestpractice.org.uk

to register your interest.

On the 4th December, the

Scheme hosted its first

annual Drinks Reception

which brought together

industry professionals

based at the forefront of the

construction industry.

The exciting industry event was

held at London’s Imperial War

Museum during the poignant

WorldWar One centenary

anniversary, where invited guests

were given an exclusive private

opportunity to view the museum’s

ground-breaking new First World

War Galleries.

On the night, attendees were also

able to enjoy drinks and canapés,

as well as having a rare opportunity

to network with key industry

representatives. The Government’s

Chief Construction Adviser, Peter

Hansford, was the evening’s special

guest speaker who outlined the

important Construction 2025

Industrial Strategy and how

considerate construction plays such

a critical role in its success.
