COMPANY REGISTRATION

of commitment to the Scheme

which is commendable” and “the

best practice advocated by the

Scheme is being conducted to the

highest standard and there remains

ongoing, genuine and positive

commitment”.

Joe O’Neill, Director of Elev8

Interiors Ltd, and his team of ten

from the company were surprised

and thrilled to scoop the ultimate

prize saying:

“We were absolutely delighted to

win a Gold Award and our table

were happily celebrating the gold

when there was a twist in the

awards presentation. The Elev8

Interiors name was called out as

a winner of the Most Considerate

Company 2014 title and we were

truly shocked. The massive round

of applause we received from the

other award winners was amazing

and something we will never

forget. The awards are very special

and it took quite a few hours for the

achievement of Most Considerate

Company to sink in. After the

awards we visited our projects to

congratulate all our workers who,

without their massive input in

maintaining the Scheme’s Code of

Considerate Practice, have made

this possible.”

Kier’s most recent site report states

“an excellent performance with

the continued implementation of

new procedures and ideas...” and

particularly praised “the opening

up of ‘The Link’ community hub and

charity shops around various parts

of Sheffield is an innovative move

forward to improve even further

community relations with local

residents”.

Scott Murray, Head of Services at

Kier Sheffield, was also delighted

saying: “We are thrilled to have

won not only a Gold Award, but

to also be recognised as the most

considerate contractor in the

UK – it’s a fantastic achievement

and one that we are all extremely

proud of achieving. This shows

real recognition of the hard work

that has been put in by the team in

Sheffield to raise the standards of

the repairs service for Sheffield City

Council over the last few years.”

Award winners were selected from

the top performing 20 per cent of

registered companies monitored

by the Scheme from the 1st August

2013 to 31st July 2014.

Edward Hardy, the Scheme’s Chief

Executive, said:
