Issue 34

The Considerate Constructors Scheme’s ‘Improving The Image Of Construction’

(ITIOC) event ran for its second year, and was attended by over 250 industry

professionals keen to learn more about considerate construction.

A reviewof the Scheme’s

ITIOC event 2014

The event took place on the

17th September at the Crowne

Plaza Hotel in Nottingham, and

was attended by the Scheme’s

Associate Members, Company

Partners and Client Partners. A wide

range of professions, including

site managers, health and safety

advisers and community liaison

officers, were able to attend

a number of workshops held

throughout the day on various

topics to help them understand

the requirements of the Scheme

and hear from other industry

organisations.

In between the workshops,

attendees were also able to explore

exhibition style stands provided

by the Scheme as well as other

industry bodies. Scheme hosted

stands included information on

the recently launched Supplier

Registration, Ultra Sites and the Ivor

Goodsite Hoarding Competition

2014 winners.

Other stands were hosted by

CITB, Civic Voice, Construction

Industry Publications Ltd, CRASH,

Lighthouse Club, NHS Blood and

Transplant, Prostate Cancer UK,

TfL and The Prince’s Trust. The

Scheme would like to thank these

organisations for attending the

event and for their support.

Feedback has been fantastic with

many finding the day informatiove

and engaging.
