SCHEME NEWS

Annual Survey 2015

The Scheme is currently in the process of contacting industry professionals and members

of the public to take part in its annual survey to gauge how the image of the industry has

improved over the last 12 months.

The annual survey has been

running since 2007 and allows the

Scheme to evaluate how the image

of the industry is perceived, and

when compared against previous

years, how the image of the

industry is changing.

The Scheme will again be using

YouGov to speak to members of

the public to understand how they

view the industry as well as what

construction activities they find

most inconvenient, whether they

recognise the Scheme and how

attractive they think a career in

construction is to young people.

The Scheme will also survey the

industry and will email registered

sites, companies, suppliers,

Associate Members, Company

Partners and Client Partners among

others to take part.

The industry survey asks whether

respondents are a contractor or

client, and the questions are then

tailored depending on their answer.

Contractors will be asked a number

of questions based on how long

they have been registering with the

Scheme, why they choose to do so

and how they think the image of

the industry has changed. Similarly,

clients will be asked whether they

think registering with the Scheme

benefits their sites and how they

perceive the image of the industry,

as well as how they think the public

feel.

The Scheme would like to kindly

ask everyone to take part in the

survey to ensure that the results

portray an accurate reflection

of how the industry is perceived

today. The survey will take around

10 minutes to complete and at the

end you will be asked if you would

like to enter a prize draw to win an

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX - there are

five to be won.

If you are contacted by the Scheme

to complete the survey, please

forward the link to any of your

colleagues who would also like to

share their views.

The feedback from the surveys

are extremely valuable to help

understand what issues are

currently affecting both the

industry and the public. Identifying

these areas for development will

help to shape the future direction

of the Scheme so that initiatives

can be put in place in order for

these issues to be addressed and

improved.

The Scheme would like to

thank everyone in advance for

completing the survey and sharing

their thoughts on the industry’s

image.
