COMPANY REGISTRATION

Over the decades the Belfast-based

company has constructed many

prestigious Belfast City Centre

House and Belfast City Hall. They

also built the prestigious Slieve

Donard Hotel in County Down,

Proving its credentials as a

considerate constructor, H&J

Martin has earned itself two Silver

Considerate Constructors Scheme

(CCS) National Company Awards

in two years, and four National Site

Awards.

Commenting on its considerable

successes, H&J Martin Customer

Service Manager, Jill McCune said:

“We feel very privileged to have

won Silver for the past two years at

the CCS National Company Awards.

“We are especially proud of this

achievement as we have only had

Company Registration with the

Considerate Constructors Scheme

for two years and we have won an

award each year. We hope to keep

this up for the next year too!”

Outlining the benefits of being

registered with the Scheme, Ms

McCune said: “Being registered

with the Scheme indicates that we

are a reputable company with a

commitment to our clients and to

the high standards set out by the

Code of Considerate Practice.

“It enables us to tender for works

that require membership of the

Scheme and it also allows us to

gain valuable knowledge from our

Monitors.

“We also benefit from membership

as it improves staff morale and we

make a commitment to look after

their welfare, not just to that of our

customers.

“Staff welfare is taken seriously at

H&J Martin; we ensure that each

staff member is supported and

given the necessary tools to do

their job effectively.

“This may be through training,

being given the correct PPE

(Personal Protective Equipment),

having access to numeracy and

literacy courses or taking part in

our free annual health checks.”

Other incentives include

encouraging staff to get involved

with CSR (Corporate Social
