Chris Blythe

Chief Executive, Chartered Institute of Building

For most people a construction site is as close as they get to our industry. For

us it is a chance to make a good first impression and an opportunity to attract

people into a career in construction. Achieving the highest standards on site

sends a ripple through the whole industry. Creating safe, well organised and

professional working environments is not only good for those who work today

Richard Beresford

Chief Executive, National Federation of Builders

The NFB is proud to be a founding supporter of the Considerate Constructors

Scheme. Our shared values make CCS an ideal partner with whom we, and our

members, can work to improve the image of the industry.

John Slaughter

Director of External Affairs, Home Builders Federation

Construction – whether it is delivering much needed housing or infrastructure

– has a vital part to play in meeting the nation’s future needs and it has never

been more important than now to show a commitment to good practice. A

positive industry image is essential to attract the new recruits the industry

requires and I am delighted to have presented the CCS National Site Awards to

celebrate all those who are leading the way.

On behalf of the Scheme, I would like to say a special thank you to our guest

presenters who gave up their time to personally congratulate each and every award

winner, and make the ceremonies such a memorable industry event.
