long term association with the

Considerate Constructors Scheme.

“We would – indeed we do -

recommend other Northern Ireland

and UK companies to join the

Scheme.

Commenting on becoming

a Company Partner with the

Scheme, Peter said: “We believe

a partnership role recognises the

efforts and commitment of our site

teams throughout our registration.

“We welcome the opportunity

to work closely with the Scheme,

share best practice and promote

registration within the industry.”

Peter added that it was also

beneficial to recognise site teams’

efforts and commitment. It also

gains recognition from clients, and

provides further opportunities

for its services in sensitive and

challenging environments.

Peter commented that registration

was also of use to promote both the

ethos of the Scheme and continued

improvements within the civil

engineering and piling sector.

He said: “The Scheme supports our

values and policies and provides a

benchmark which maintains a high

standard within the industry.

“As an example, we are

currently considering the

introduction of the ‘Be Fair’

initiative, following a CITB

(Construction Industry

Training Board) seminar talk

at last year’s Scheme event

– Improving The Image Of

Construction (ITIOC).

“The Scheme is one

of our Board’s Key

Performance Indicators

(KPIs), while each site team

assesses compliance

and opportunities during the

preparation and execution of each

contract.”

Looking ahead to the future, Peter

concluded: “We look forward to

the challenges ahead of not only

promoting our company within

the industry, but the Scheme as

well.”
