SCHEME NEWS

Teambuild 2015

This ever-popular industry contest

gives young industry professionals

from all disciplines the opportunity

to experience a

real-life construction

scenario.

Team members must work together

to tackle the design, development

and construction process of a real

site in this fast-paced, challenging

and fun competition.

Competitors represent many major

companies specialising in all areas

of the construction industry – from

architects and contractors, to

engineers and surveyors.

The competition will take place

from 4 September and will involve

a number of stages concluding

with a finals weekend in November.

The deadline to enter this year’s

competition has now passed.

Each team will be judged by

eminent figures from the industry,

including the Scheme’s very own

Ambassador and Monitor John

Sayers.

As well as being a fun and

enjoyable competition, Teambuild

2015 provides an ideal opportunity

to network with industry peers and

enhance career development.

Launched in 1992, the Teambuild

competition was designed to focus

on developing skills in leadership

and co-ordination in the industry.

The objective of the competition

is to improve the performance

of the building industry by

placing entrants in a competitive

situation under the sort of

pressures experienced in real-life

construction.

Teambuild is organised by leading

figures drawn from construction

institutions including The

Chartered Institute of Building

(CIOB), the Worshipful Company of

Constructors, the Institution of Civil

Engineers (ICE) and the Institution

of Structural Engineers.
