Botley School, Oxford
The Seven Tythings
(hamlets) of Abingdon
A group of 10 children from Botley School in Oxford were invited onto the RG Carter site to create hoarding
artwork celebrating a sculpture commissioned by Waitrose, based on the “Seven Tythings” (Hamlets) of Abingdon
The children, aged from 7 – 11, drew their ideas in the classroom with their teacher Mrs Radford and then
transferred their unique designs of animals, plants, trees and flowers onto the hoarding.
Everybody enjoyed the day and their artistic creations have captured the attention of many passers-by.
Garfield Primary School,
Children aged between 7 and 11 were asked to “Beautify Enfield” and the winners did just that – spending a day
on site with Mulalley and creating a fantastic masterpiece.
Twelve children from Garfield Primary School in Enfield were selected as winners in the competition to create a
piece of artwork for Mulalley’s Ladderswood site hoarding.
Mulalley is working in partnership with One Housing Group and Enfield Council to regenerate the Ladderswood
Estate in Enfield.
