COMPANY REGISTRATION

The Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice provides an “excellent management tool”

and reflects the values of award-winning registered company, JSM.

The utilities service provider

specialises in the delivery

of integrated power and

communications solutions and has

scooped one Bronze and two Silver

Considerate Constructors Scheme

(CCS) National Company Awards.

Based in Potters Bar, Herts, JSM

received a Bronze Award in 2015

and Silver Awards in 2011 and

2012, proving its credentials as a

conscientious constructor.

Commenting on its achievements,

JSM Group’s Safety, Health,

Environment and Quality (SHEQ)

Director, Mick Barrett said: “Our

success is down to the company’s

commitment towards health, safety,

quality and the environment.

“This is being driven from the top

down and from the bottom up.

We pride ourselves on having an

impeccable safety record which

is reflected in our company’s key

performance indicators (KPIs).

“In April 2015 we surpassed

two million man-hours worked

without a RIDDOR (Reporting of

Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous

Occurrences Regulations) accident.

This was a fantastic achievement

for the company considering our

size and just goes to prove that we

must be doing it right.”

The importance of good

training

Mick explained that ensuring

employees receive the best and

most appropriate training for their

roles creates a competent and safe

workforce.

He said: “JSM’s health and safety

ethos is continually being reviewed

so that we do not get complacent.
