National Site Awards 2014 have now finished
After 12 ceremonies held across the UK with over 3000 guests attending, the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s 2014 National Site Awards have now finished.
The annual National Site Awards recognise and reward the hard work and effort that has been made by all registered sites, large and small, which have raised the bar for considerate construction and set the benchmark for others to follow. This year, the Scheme presented more awards than ever across the highest number of ceremonies to date.
The 12 ceremonies took place in Edinburgh, Manchester and London where the Scheme presented 384 Bronze, 264 Silver and 90 Gold Awards in front of more than 3000 guests.

From within the Gold Award winners, the very highest performing sites were then shortlisted to receive the prestigious title of Most Considerate Site. This year, that honour went to Carillion Construction Ltd and their One St Peter’s Square project in Manchester. Described by the Scheme Monitor as a “truly exceptional site”, it demonstrated the very best of considerate construction and as such was awarded the highest accolade.

There were 27 other Gold Award winners that were shortlisted for the title and received Most Considerate Site Runner-up Awards for their outstanding contribution.
Commenting on the awards, Scheme Chairman David Watson said:
Many congratulations to all those who have received an award. The National Site Awards get bigger and better every year which is proof that the industry strives to improve upon its previous successes.
All award-winning sites have proven their commitment to considerate construction and continue to set ever higher standards.
On behalf of the Scheme, I would like to congratulate all award winners once again and thank you for your hard work and dedication towards improving the image of construction.
Throughout the awards, sites have been sharing their success with the rest of the industry through Twitter and using the special hashtag #ccsawards.
The Scheme also sends out a survey to all those who attended an awards ceremony so feedback can be collected and used to improve future events. Feedback received so far includes:
Congratulations on such a great event, well done. Keep up the good work.
The Scheme provides the necessary focus to strive for excellence in all aspects of the industry… and the awards is recognition of improving standards. Good job!
A great day of celebration and nice to be rewarded for the work we put in.
A most enjoyable day which myself and colleagues enjoyed and were proud to be part of.
