Balfour Beatty

With the help of:

Kirkhill Primary

Crathes Castle

A group of pupils from Kirkhall Primary School made

a striking model of Crathes Castle in Aberdeenshire

after being inspired by a visit to the famous building.

Around 50 pupils fromYear One replicated the castle

over the course of two afternoons using a variety of

recycled materials they had collected.

Supported by the Balfour Beatty team who are

building the New Academy – South of The City

secondary school - pupils were guided through the

building process by the experts.

They were extremely proud of their final design

and the Balfour Beatty team was delighted to be

invited back to the school to view the finished

project. Pupils were presented with Considerate

Constructors Scheme fun packs as a thank you from

Balfour Beatty for their hard work.
