BAM Construction Ltd
With the help of:
New Pencoed Primary School
Design and mathematical skills were used by year six
pupils to construct a 3D model of their new school
being built by BAM Construction.
Using recyclable materials they collected
themselves, the Year 6 pupils designed and
constructed the model using the site layout plan
which had been produced by the architect.
The project team from BAM Construction gave a talk
on the project to the students who then decided
what size to make the model, how to make it to scale
and what resources they would need.
Working as a team, the 12 pupils who created the
model used skills they had learned in class such
as finding the area of a triangle. Their work was
admired by Honor Goodsite who visited the school
and said she thought the model was brilliant!
