The Scheme’s Best Practice Hub has today reached the huge milestone of 30,000 registered users.
The Hub is a comprehensive and free online resource available to everyone in the industry. Since its launch in early 2015, it has become the go to place to find best practice and innovation in construction.
It currently features over 2,650 examples of best practice and innovation selected from those submitted by sites and organisations registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. These examples show how the industry is raising standards in areas relating to our Code of Considerate Practice.
The Hub provides real-life examples of how to follow the Code of Considerate Practice and the higher standards it drives, which are being put into practice across the UK and Ireland.
In addition to case studies, best practice tips and guidance, the Best Practice Hub hosts a wealth of other resources, available to ensure registered users are informed about and know how to tackle important industry-wide issues.
Another popular feature are the ‘Spotlight on…’ learning toolkits, a series of resources that address broad industry issues and aim to raise awareness, provide information and practical advice on how the construction industry can tackle them. The Hub also offers a range of free e-learning courses designed to educate users on a range of subjects including the Scheme, its Code of Considerate Practice and other wider industry topics.
Thanks so much to all the construction sites and suppliers and other organisations including charities who feature their best practice on the Hub!
Remember to keep your eye on the Best Practice Hub as we have many new initiatives and resources planned, including:
- Guidance and resources on how registered activity can minimise complaints from the public. The first of which will focus on site parking and managing its impact on their neighbours.
- A new ‘Spotlight on…’ learning toolkit on carbon reduction. If you would like to contribute towards this learning toolkit by sharing resources, initiatives or case studies on the subject, please contact enquiries@ccsbestpractice.org.uk
