Annual Industry Survey 2017

The Scheme invited industry professionals to take part in its annual survey to gauge how the image of the industry has improved over the last 12 months.

The Scheme emailed its registered sites, companies and suppliers to take part in the survey, which has been running since 2007 and allows the Scheme to evaluate how the image of the industry is perceived, and when compared against previous years, how the image of the industry is changing.

The survey is conducted each year and aims to gather feedback from those who work in construction on their thoughts relating to the industry. The Scheme will again be using YouGov to speak to members of the public to understand how they view the industry as well as what construction activities they find most inconvenient, whether they recognise the Scheme and how attractive they think a career in construction is to young people.

The feedback from the survey is extremely valuable to help understand what issues are currently affecting both the industry and the public. Identifying these areas for development will help to shape the future direction of the Scheme so that initiatives can be put in place in order for these issues to be addressed and improved.

Those who took part in the survey were given the option to be included in a free prize draw, to win one of five £100 John Lewis vouchers.

The Scheme would like to thank everyone for completing the survey and sharing their thoughts on the industry’s image.
