D G P Logistics plc for the initiative Improving Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Recognising the importance of building diverse communities, DGP strives to promote Fairness, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across its workforce, supply chain, and the local community. To support its commitment to EDI the company created a new ethical policy and appointed a Wellbeing Lead to drive initiatives including: EDI training for all manages; updating job descriptions to ensure they are inclusive; and launching a new recognition programme. Reaching out to local communities CEO, Saheb Dhesi has published a children’s book series raising awareness of cultural diversity in construction, donating over 20,000 copies to primary school pupils and raising over £5,000 for the Construction Youth Trust. Proud of its diverse workforce, the company aims to increase this further and are offering work placements to young and disadvantaged youth.
