Kim Lawrence, Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd, for the initiative: “Making Social Impact intrinsic to communities and customers”

Praised for her unwavering commitment and drive to succeed, Kim Lawrence, Social Value Manager for Willmott Dixon, is recognised for her efforts on the Lawrence Weston housing scheme to actively promote aspiration and opportunity in one of the highest areas of deprivation in the UK. Going above and beyond expectation, Kim worked with Bristol City Council and Ambition Lawrence Weston, a resident-driven organisation, identifying areas of opportunity to help break unemployment and poverty cycles, whilst simultaneously building public confidence. Examples of her work include: managing a ‘Meet the Contractor’ event to promote job opportunities, proactively inviting the Council to provide funding for training and CSCS cards; facilitating partnerships to generate work experience placements for those in care; and inspiring students at local schools with activities on sustainability.
