Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd, Wood Wharf for the initiative Physical and Mental wellbeing challenge to bring our workforce together and raise money for Mind Charity

To support National Mental Health Awareness Week, the team at Canary Wharf Contractors at the Wood Wharf project came together for a physical wellbeing challenge to raise funds for the mental health charity Mind. Cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back again, and rowing the length of 8 of the UK’s main rivers, the initiative aimed to raise £3000 for Mind and place a spotlight on the mental health support services available on the project. Bringing together office-based and construction staff for the week long challenge, the event smashed its target raising over £5400 for the charity. It also encouraged greater interaction and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression of the importance of physical and mental wellbeing with more staff signing up to the subsidised gym.
