BREEAM, CSH and Ska ready for the new Code
The Scheme understands that many sites register to help achieve their required rating with BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) or Ska.
Over the last few months, the Scheme has been liaising with these bodies to ensure that they understand the new scoring system and therefore can adjust their rating criteria accordingly. Working with the Scheme, BREEAM, CSH and Ska have now confirmed how they will credit registered sites on the new scoring system. Please see below for details on each organisation.
BREEAM
BREEAM have confirmed the way in which credits are assessed and awarded will not change, however the credit benchmarks have been updated to reflect the new CCS scoring method. Therefore, one credit is still available for achieving compliance (required for certification) with the CCS, two credits for significantly exceeding compliance and a third exemplary credit for demonstrating an exemplary level of practice.
NOTE – These benchmarks will apply across all BREEAM schemes and versions when using the new scoring system.
