The Considerate Constructors Scheme promotes high standards and accountability within the construction industry. It is a voluntary scheme, meaning that Scheme-registered contractors and organisations are actively trying to improve the way they work, by raising their standards in being more considerate to communities, the environment and their own workforce.
All Scheme-registered activity must follow the Code of Considerate Practice and is visited by an independent Monitor who scores their performance. We aim to help the construction industry be more considerate so that your experience when construction activity is happening around you, as a member of the public or workforce, is better.
Our Public Support team aims to help anyone who may have a concern or feedback relating to construction activity, whether it is Scheme-registered or not.

We are aware of the impact that construction activity can have on local communities and on those living, working, or travelling in areas where construction is taking place. That is why we have a dedicated team to help you.

REGISTERED CONSTRUCTION SITES, ORGANISATIONS AND SUPPLIERS
Over 4680 construction sites, organisations and suppliers register with us each year, raising standards across a diverse range of sectors within construction, ranging from small domestic construction projects to multibillion-pound national infrastructure projects.
Public concerns and feedback managed a month
On average we handle over 270 instances of concern or feedback from the public each month.
Through our dedicated Public Support team, we help members of the public and workforce in construction with concerns or feedback they may have about construction activity registered with the Scheme.
MONTHLY VISITS TO OUR CONSTRUCTION MAP
On average we receive over 60,000 visits to our Construction Map each month, which helps to provide information about what construction activity is registered with us.
This provides transparency and easily accessible information to the public, industry and clients.
All Scheme-registered construction activities display posters and banners demonstrating that they are registered with us and providing contact details for anyone to get in touch with concern or feedback.
