Monitors’ Annual Conference
The 2010 Monitors’ Annual Conference took place on 8 July at the Stationers’ Hall in the City of London, giving the Scheme Monitors and administration staff the opportunity to meet once again and discuss Scheme issues.
The day began with an introductory explanation from a representative of Investors in People, an accreditation that the Scheme is currently working towards achieving. This was followed by a group exercise in which teams had to list three examples of good practice, focussing on a particular area of the Site Code of Considerate Practice, that they had recently witnessed or that they feel could be implemented on a site. This exchange enlightened Monitors about the standards being achieved nationwide.
During lunch, each table was asked to complete a light-hearted quiz, with prizes of Scheme umbrellas and goody bags awarded to the winning table.
The event was a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by Monitors and staff alike.
