Scheme Board changes
Robert Biggs and Norman Reed
From 1 January 2009, there will be a number of changes at the helm of the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
In addition to the appointment of Edward Hardy as Chief Executive, the Scheme’s Board of Directors will also have a new look.
Trevor Fish, a Scheme Director since January 2006, is stepping down at the end of 2008, as he reaches the end of his three year tenure. Trevor has been a valued Director, who has worked tirelessly on issues such as consistency of site monitoring. The Scheme is therefore particularly delighted to be retaining his expertise, as he continues to work for the organisation in a number of other capacities.
Nigel Marks and Norman Reed
New to the Board from 2009 will be Nigel Marks, who joins as a non-executive Marketing Director. Nigel currently works as a Monitor for the Scheme, as well as running his own consultancy business. Prior to that, he had a long and varied career in the construction industry, with particular emphasis on marketing and business development roles.
Finally, current Director, Robert Biggs, begins his year’s tenure as Vice Chairman, ahead of becoming Chairman in 2010. Robert has been a Director since January 2006 and has particular responsibility for environmental matters.
Everyone involved with the Scheme would like to thank those who are moving on and to welcome those stepping into new roles. The Scheme’s Board, management and administration team are looking forward to 2009 and to embracing all the changes, developments and challenges it will bring.
