The Considerate Constructors Scheme has introduced its new e-learning course ‘The Next Generation’ on the Best Practice Hub.

To supplement this e-learning course, the ‘Spotlight on…the next generation’ follow-up article has been published on the Best Practice to address the success of the national ‘Spotlight on…the next generation’ campaign published in August 2018.

‘Spotlight on…the next generation’ provides information, statistics, case studies from industry professionals and practical advice to help the construction industry encourage young people into construction.

Recent research revealed that with an ongoing housing crisis, an ageing workforce and Britain’s forthcoming exit from the European Union, it has never been more important to encourage young people into the construction industry. It is imperative then that all those involved in construction promote careers in construction to overcome this skills shortage.

Our new ‘Spotlight on…the next generation’ follow-up article establishes how well the industry has responded to the campaign. Featured in this article are the results from a survey of Scheme Monitors asking for their feedback on the campaign. Monitors make over 18,000 visits to site, companies and suppliers every year, giving them an in-depth insight into how the construction is addressing key issues.

Once users have completed the e-learning course, they can take a short quiz to test their understanding. All e-learning courses are free for registered Hub users.
