Successful first Partners’ Meeting of 2017

A number of key industry topics such as mental health and the public perception of the industry came under discussion at the Scheme’s recent Partners’ Meeting.

Partners (formerly known as Associate Members) gathered together at the Marriot Hotel in Northampton on Tuesday 23 May and were welcomed by Scheme Director, Mike Petter, who recognised new Partners and celebrated a number of long-serving supporters with Longevity Awards.

A full Scheme presentation was given by Chief Executive, Edward Hardy, who updated the group on topics such as registration figures, the 2017 National Site Awards, consolidation of branding and this year’s Image of Construction event.

This was followed by a Partners’ Strategy Group update from Martin Gettings of Canary Wharf Group, and Jason Irwin of W11 Construction then provided a Partners’ Working Group update.

After the presentations, the Partners had a break for lunch which provided a great opportunity to network and talk about what they heard in the meeting.

The attendees were then given a number of discussion topics to talk about with the other members of their table, which included the public perception of the industry, CLOCS and mental health. Each table shared their thoughts with the rest of the group, and the Scheme will use all feedback to help it plan and develop future initiatives.
