Survey launched: have your say on Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in construction

The Scheme’s upcoming ‘Spotlight on…equality, diversity and inclusion’ campaign is taking shape and we’d like to hear your views on this important industry issue by taking part in a survey.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is developing a new ‘Spotlight on…’ campaign focusing on the important issue of equality, diversity and inclusion.

The 2010 Equality Act details nine protected characteristics which will form the principal focus of the campaign. These characteristics are:

  • Age
  • Gender Reassignment
  • Disability
  • Marriage and Civil Partnership
  • Pregnancy and Maternity

  • Race
  • Religion or Belief
  • Sex
  • Sexual Orientation

To understand how the issue of equality, diversity and inclusion is being addressed in the industry, the Scheme has opened a brief, anonymous survey on this topic to gain a real understanding of the industry’s views and to identify what is being done to address this issue in the construction industry.
